Week 3 - Strathfield Superbowl
The division bowled 156 average at Strathfield Superbowl with 7 200 games and 1 600 series. The high game went to Michael Campbell 226, Les Dunn 211, Dave Stenstra 205, Les again 203, Brad Cook 202, Michael again and Brad again 201, Luke McMahon 199, Chris Boyle 197 and Peter Daly 194. The series went to Les 603, Michael 574, Jared Kirkland 566, Dave 547, Brad 535, Robert Ellison 522, Peter again, Phil Spender and Garry Ridgeway all on 521 and Luke 520. The ladies high game went to Debbie van der Meer 169, Julie Strickland 168, Leonie Ince 166, Jodie Terry 165, Julie again 164, Theresa Boyle 162, Debbie again 157, Jodie again 156 and Ros Kirkland 147. The series went to Julie 475, Jodie 456, Debbie 455, Leonie 427 and Theresa 417.
Leaders Wetherill Park Wizards lost 12-5 to 2nd place Windsor Roos and traded places with 2½ points between them. 3rd place Campbelltown Odd Bodz lost 12-5 to Windsor Rattlers and dropped to 7th as Rattlers moved up to 5th spot. Equal 4th places Tenpin City Cartel and Strathfield Storm played each other with Cartel coming out winners 10-7 and moving up to 3rd place, while Storm dropped to 6th and Gosford Grenades won 11-6 to move up to 4th place. The high game went to Bowlarama Dark Knights 723, with Rattlers and Grenades scoring 710 each. The series went to Grenades 2005, while Dark Knights scored 1986 and Rattlers 1949.
On the Sunday morning, Windsor Roos and Windsor Rattlers played a re-scheduled match at Campbelltown for week 7 with Rattlers winning 10-7. Luke McMahon scored a triplicate on 157. Congratulations Luke.
Division 2
Week 3 - Gosford City Bowl
The division bowled 149 average at Gosford with 20 200 games and 4 600 series. This was the highest this year and all high games and series scores were reset at Gosford this week. The high game went to Derek Kellard 254, with Al Wilson bowling 245, Matt Jeffress 236, Kevin Fox 231, Michael Pipe 227, William Scheers 224, Derek again 223, William Greaves and Al again 222 and Will Scheers and Al again 220. The series went to Al 687, followed by Derek 645, William Greaves 627, Michael 621, William Scheers 590, Matt Jeffress and John Barrett 573, Kevin 572, Matt Anderson 567 and Daniel Hunter 566. The ladies high game went to Maxine Jones 194, Sue Turrall and Kay Ginger 183, Maxine again 178, reserve Tracy Hodgson 171, Kay again 159, Beryl Goggin 158, Melinda Murphy 155, Maxine again 154 and Tracy again and Hannah Bailey 153. The series went to Maxine 526, Kay 481, Tracy 473, Beryl 439, Sue 427, Janice Edwards 409, Nicole Wort and Kat Staples 406, Jane Austin 403 and Sharon Murphy 401.
Leaders Windsor Whisperers lost 9-8 to 6th place Bowlarama Bandits who moved up to 5th spot. 2nd place Gosford Gremlins lost 12-5 to Windsor Mustangs and dropped to 4th place. Wetherill Park Phoenix won 13-4 to move into 2nd place 2 points behind Whisperers. 3rd place Strathfield Stingers lost 12-5 to last years’ champions Campbelltown City Chihuahuas who recorded their first win on the year, while Gosford Scorpions scored 10 on the bye to move up from 4th to 3rd place, 1 point behind 2nd. Windsor Jesters won 14-3, Wetherill Park Cobras won 12-5 and Bateau Bay Battlers won 10-7. The high game went to Bandits 734, Jesters 725 and Chihuahuas 700. The series went to Bandits 1994, Whisperers 1966 and Chihuahuas 1962.
