Weekly Update: 25th August 2018

Div 1 Week 24 – Wetherill Park – 25 August
The division bowled 5½ pins over average at Wetherill Park with 33 200 games and 8 600 series. The high game went to Glenn Rowland 268, Shane Brown and Reece Hines 258, Chris Hampshire 257, Dean Ainsworth 244, Shane again 235, William Macrohon and Reece again 233, Josh Vanderkolk 232 an d Neil Taylor 231. The series went to Reece 718, Shane 698, Glenn 671, Josh 642, Chris 633, Allan Taylor 624, Dean 604 and Mark Steendam and Jason Raftry 574. The ladies high game went to Amy Brown with 238, 224 and 221, followed by Janelle Crass 203, reserve Kayleen Watts 202, Janelle again and Kayleen again 193, Jodie Terry 192, Kayleen again 177, Meg Abdilla 175 and Jodie again 174. The series went to Amy 683, Kayleen 572, Janelle 556, Jodie 498 and Meg 478. The long-awaited showdown between Amy and Shane Brown resulted in Amy winning 2-1, but Shane scoring the higher series .

Leaders Wetherill Park Guns won 12-7, while 2nd place Windsor Wolverines won 10-9 over 3rd place Wetherill Park Bandits allowing the gap to creep up to 13 points. Tenpin Tyrants won 11-8, while the 4th match of the round was deferred to 8 September due to ATBSO commitments. The high game went to Bandits 1056, followed by Wolverines 1030 and Guns with 1020 and 1001. The series went to Guns 2940, Rooty Hill 5 of a Kind 2852 and Bandits 2842.
Div 2 Week 24 – South Strathfield – 25 August
The division bowled 2 pins under average at Strathfield with 18 200 games and 5 600 series. The high game went to Chris Greaves 248, reserve Neal Kennedy 244, reserve James Sitters 243, Nadim El Haddad 231, Ray Dillon 229, Dave Stenstra and James again 226, Ray again 218 and reserve David Knott and Nadim again 217. The series went to Dave 635, Chris 634, Nadim 633, Ray 622, James 612, David 578, John Pope 558, Phil 557, Les Dunn 554 and Jim Vlahos 543. The ladies high game went to Julie Strickland 204, Kay Ginger 198, Carol Stenstra 192, Melissa Webb 190, Carol again 189, reserve Annette Bateup and Margaret Rogers 187, Julie again 185, Margaret again 184 and Rebeccanne Farr 183. Leaders Bowlarama Boomerangs won 15-4 agains t 2nd place Tenpin City Pirates in the positional round to extend their lead to 22 ½ points. 3rd place Tenpin City Dark Knights won 12-7 against 4th place Rooty Hill Rhinos, Strathfield Sharks won 14-5, Bowlarama Alleycatz won 12 ½ - 6 and Rooty Hill Hurricanes drew with Windsor Wanderers 9½ all. Windsor Rockets and Campbelltown Alleygators deferred their match to 22 September also due to ATBSO commitments. The high game went to Boomerangs 960, Sharks 915 and Rhinos 904. The series went to Boomerangs 2709, Sharks 2572 and Wanderers 2558.
Div 3 Week 24 – Mittagong Highlands – 25 August
The division bowled 1 pin under average at Mittagong with 13 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Chris Prince with a personal best 289, scoring the high game of the division so far and equalling the Div 3 record set by Joshua Bayliss in 2013. He also scored 255, followed by Nick Frost 244, Rob Ciacciarelli 233, Harry Collins 224, Kyle Keith-Wheatley 223, Chris again 207 and Tony Sutton and Nathan Bracey 203. The series went to Chris with a new high for the year 751, followed by Nick 639, Harry 600, Nathan 570, Tony 569, Kyle 562, Rob 549, Matt Anderson 544 and William Scheers 529. The ladies high game went to Madison McCooey 224, Sandra Stanshall and Marianne Keith 192, Sandra again 189, Madison again 177, Debbie Liddell 167, Jasmine Hall 164, Debbie again 161 and Jane Austin and Sue Turrall 156. The series went to Madison 547, Sandra 506, Marianne 476, Debbie 457, reserve Elaine Llewelyn 415, Jasmine 413, Kerry Horvat 412, Ros Kirkland 410, Sue 408 and Jane 406.

In the positional round, leaders Strathfield Vikings won 11-8 against 2nd place Rooty Hill Strikers to stretch their lead to 10 points while Rooty Hill Pikachoos in 3rd place beat Wetherill Park All Stars 10-9. Western Force won 14½ - 4½, Campbelltown City Dragons won 10½ - 8½, Bowlarama Bombers won 14-5 while Lidcombe Crazy Tigers scored 16 on the bye. The high game went to Vikings 954, Bombers 917 and Strikers 875. The series went to Vikings 2615, Force 2414 and Bombers 2408.
