Weekly Update: 22nd July 2017

Div 1 Week 23 – Wetherill Park – 22 July
The division bowled 8 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 63 200 games and 17 600 series. The high game went to Trent Miller with a perfect 300 game, followed by Darren Topolski 267, Dean Ainsworth 265, Shane Brown 264, Reece Hines and reserve Alex Sole 259, Brett Foster 256, Shane Bond 255 and Trent again 249. The series went to Trent also with a very nice 802, followed by Alex 715, Shane Bond 694, Kim Morris 691, Dean 664, Shane Brown 661, Brett 657, Reece 649 and George Antaky 637. Unfortunately although Trent bowled the highest game and series this year to date, he will not qualify for the award as he cannot bowl 2/3rd of the season to qualify. The ladies high game went to Sarah Heath 268 and 257, Amy Brown 251, Sarah again 242, Meaghan Curtis 221, Janelle Crass 217, Kayleen Watts 215, Meaghan again 214, Sindy Searle 212 a nd Michelle Simmonds 205. The series went to Sarah with a new female high record for Bowl Sydney of 767, Meaghan 639, Janelle 591, Amy 585, Jodie Terry 584, Kayleen 574, Michelle 530, Meg Abdilla 515 and Sindy 504.

Leaders Wetherill Park Guns won 13-6 while second place Tenpin City Reaper Crew inched closer winning 14-5 cutting their lead to 6½ points.3rd place Wetherill Park Bandits won 10-9 while 4th place Campbelltown Cougars lost a close game 10-9 to Wetherill Park Outsiders. Gosford Gremlins won 10-9 to close out the round. The high game went to Bowlarama Hotshots 1081, Bandits 1056, Guns 1049, Gremlins 1040 and 1017, Reaper Crew 1028 and 1022 and Cougars 1024. The series went to Reaper Crew 3040, Hotshots 2988 and Gremlins 2944.
Div 2 Week 23 – South Strathfield – 22 July
The division bowled 7 pins under average at Strathfield with 21 200 games. The high game went to Nathan O’Neill with 245, followed by Garry Graham 237, David Stenstra 225, David Blevins 219, Joe Wrublewski 216, reserves David Chi and Bob Cohen 213, Pat Purcell 212, Chris Prince 207 and Jared Kirkland 206. The series went to Chris 591, Michael Burrows 579, David Blevins and Pat Purcell 577, Nathan 571, Dean Harris 568, Dave Stenstra and Rob Vamvas 562, Bob 561 and Jared 559. The ladies high game went to Angela Francis 202, Maria Wrublewski 194, Rebecca Taduran 192, Leonie Ince 190, Madison McCooey 184, Maria again 180, Angela again 179, Melissa Webb 178, Ros Dowton 177 and Kay Ginger 172. Leaders Strathfield Tigers lost a close game 10-9 to 4th place Gosford Grenades and dropped to 2nd spot as Wetherill Whisperers won 16½ - 2½ and now lead by 3 pins. Rooty Hill Rhinos retained 3rd spot despite losing 12-7 to Campbelltown Alleygators. Bowlarama Alleycatz joined Grenades in equal 4t h spot winning 14-5, while Bowlarama Dolphins are just 1 point behind after winning 12-7. Windsor Wanderers won 15-4 and Rooty Hill Rumble scored 12½ points on the bye. The high game went to Whisperers 889, Alleycatz 880 and Wanderers 869. The series went to Alleycatz 2573, Wanderers 2572 and Whisperers 2555.

Leaders Lidcombe Looneys won 13-6 against 3rd place Rooty Hill Pikachoos as Campbelltown Dragons closed the gap to 8 points winning 15-4. 4th place Strathfield Saints lost 13-6 to Wetherill Park All Stars, Gosford Giants won 10-9 and Bowlarama Lollipops joined Giants on 6th spot winning 12½ - 6½. The high game went to Looneys with a new high game of 1012, followed by Lollipops 1005 and All Stars 939. The series went to Lollipops 2669, Looneys 2664 and All Stars 2638.
