Weekly Update: 25th March 2017

Division 1 We ek 8 – Tenpin City – 25 March

The division bowled ½ a pin over average at Tenpin City with 47 200 games and 11 600 series. The high game went to Ross Brown 258 followed by Shane Bond and Kim Morris 256, George Antaky 245, Kim again 244, Andrew Parker 239, Ross again 237, Greg Farraway 235 and Glenn Rowland 234. The series went to Ross 717, followed by Kim 680, Shane 662, Andrew 569, Glenn 658, Jason Raftry 631, Greg 630, George 616 and Chris Hampshire 606. The female high game went to Kayleen Watts 235, Helen Cios 234, Amy Brown 233, Janelle Crass 219, Meaghan Curtis 217, Helen again 215, Amy again and Trudy Gould 211, Janelle again 202 and Jodie Terry 198. The series went to Helen 642, Amy 610, Janelle 589, Meaghan 578, Trudy 570, Jodie 551, Kayleen 542, Meg Abdilla 503 and Lisa Love 487.

Leaders Tenpin City Reaper Crew won 12-7 and extended their lead to 13 as Campbelltown Cougars drew with 4th place Wetherill Park Guns. 3rd place Wetherill Park Bandits won 14-5 to move within 3½ points of 2nd place. Rooty Hill Rogues won 11-8 while Bowlarama Hotshots drew with Rooty Hill Roos. The high game went to Cougars 1024, Bandits 993 and Rogues 991. The series went to Cougars 2886, Rogues 2878 and Guns 2865.

Division 2 Week 8 – Wetherill Park – 25 March

The division bowled 9 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 54 200 games and 15 600 series including 4 700 series. The high game went to Garry Graham 269, followed by Joe Wrublewski 268, Ray Dillon 266, Ray Vandine, his opponent, 258, Graeme Pulbrook 246, Dean Harris 244, Tony Sutton 237, Ewan Thomas, Ray Dillon again and Dean again 235 and Michael Campbell 234. The series went to Ray Dillon 733, a new high for the year, followed by Ray Vandine 712 (and no points), Graeme 708, Dean 706, Allan Taylor 661, Jared Kirkland 650, Joe 649, reserve Paul Katar 647, Neil Mills 627 and Derek Kellard 621. The ladies high game went to Maria Wrublewski 224, R ebeccanne Farr 204, Madison McCooey 203 & 202, Sheree Kellard 200, Rose Lucas 195, Kay Ginger 191, Rebeccanne again 187, Rebecca Taduran and Rebeccanne again 184. Leaders Bowlarama Alleycatz lost a close game to equal 3rd Windsor Rockets 10-9 and dropped to 2nd spot as Rooty Hill Rhinos won 12-7 and reclaimed the top spot by 1 point. Despite winning Rockets dropped to 5th as Strathfield Tigers scored 15 on the bye and Strathfield Sharks won 13-6 and both teams moved ahead. Wetherill Whisperers won 14-5, Rooty Hill Rumble won 12-7 and Gosford Grenades 12½ - 6½. The high game, for the year so far, went to Alleycatz 1056, followed by Sharks 1038 and Alleygators 1029. The new high series for the year went to Rhinos 2910, followed by Sharks 2895 and Alleycatz 2786.

Division 3 Week 8 – Strathfield Superbowl – 25 March

The division bowled 2 pins under average at Strathfield with 11 200 games and 3 600 series. The new high game for the season went to Phil Spender 266, followed by Nick Frost 248 and 245, Kyle Keith-Wheatley 243, Matt Jeffress 231, Brad Cook 214, Nick again 211, Matt Burchell 207, Phil again 206 and Bob Quinn and Kyle again 202. The series went to Nick with a season high 704, Phil 647, Kyle 616, Matt Jeffress 588, Brad 562, Nathan Bracey 552, Kain Creed 541, Bob 540, Matt Burchell 530 and Vince Granturco and Matt Smith both on 513. The ladies high game was shared by reserve Kim Cook and Abigail Keith Wheatley with 180 each closely followed by Kim again 179, Julie Strickland 169, Eileen Egan 166, Debbie van der Meer 165 and 157, Leanne Gray 154, Christine Plunkett 153 and Kerry Horvat 151. The series went to Kim 488, Debbie 455, Abigail 453, Ros Kirkland 429, Julie 420, Maria Scheers 411, Christine 409 and Kerry 390.

L eaders Lidcombe Looneys forfeited as they were unable to field a legal line-up at the last minute, but 2nd place Gosford Giants who were playing them could only close the gap to 9½ points scoring 11½ points against the forfeit. Strathfield Saints closed the gap to 2nd spot to 1½ points winning 16-3, while Campbelltown City Dragons won 14-5 against 4th place Rooty Hill Pikachoos and dropped them down to 6th spot as Bowlarama Lollipops won 14-5 and moved into 5th spot. Wetherill Park All Stars moved into 7th spot with 18-1 win. Rooty Hill Strikers managed the curious distinction of having three bowlers scoring the same series overall. The high game for the season went to Dragons 957, Saints 939 and All Stars 881. Dragons also scored the high series for the season with 2608, followed by Saints 2555 and All Stars 2381
