Weekly Update: 4th March 2017

Division 1 Week 5 – Wetherill Park – 4 March

The division bowled 12 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 54 200 games and 18 600 series. The high game went to John Raftry setting the new high for the season of 290. He was followed by T rent Miller 279, Shane Bond 277, George Antaky 268, Brett Foster 246, Ross Brown and Shane again 243, Glenn Rowland 240, Shane again 237 and Wolf Miller 236. The high series went to Shane 757, a new high for the year followed by Trent 713 and John 709, both of whom also broke the old mark of 698. Ross scored 688, Glenn 673, Brett 670, Kim Morris 642, Phil Meurant 632 and Garry Ridgeway 631. The ladies high game went to Janelle Crass 242, Michelle Simmonds 236, Sarah Heath 235, Janelle again 227, Amy Brown 225, Annette Bateup 214, Sarah again 203, Kayleen Watts 202, Jodie Terry 201 and Janelle again 199. The series went to Janelle 668, Amy and Michelle 614, Sarah 601, Meaghan Curtis 580, Trudy Gould 569, Kayleen 568, Meg Abdilla 565 and reserve Annette Bateup 564.

Leaders Tenpin City Reaper Crew lost 11-8 to Wetherill Park Guns and had their lead cut to 4½ points as Campbelltown Cougars won a close game with Bowlarama Hotshots 10-9. 3rd place Wetherill Park Bandits failed to capitalise on these results losing 11-8 to Rooty Hill Rogues allowing Gosford Gremlins to catch them in equal 3rd place as they won 13-6. Wetherill Park Outsiders recorded the biggest win with 16 points. The high game went to Outsiders with a new season high of 1137, followed by Guns 1065, Hotshots 1042, Rooty Hill Roos 1027, Cougars 1017 and Outsiders again 1007. The series, again a new season high, went to Outsiders with 3141, followed by Cougars 2967 and Guns 2939.

Division 2 Week 5 – Campbelltown City – 4 March

The division bowled average at Campbelltown with 23 200 games and 5 600 series. The high game went to Manuel Bugay 265, followed by Robert Vamvas 258, Jared Kirkland 257, reserve Richard Palma 246, Robert again 245, Michael Burrows 235, Ray Dillon 227, reserve Neil Mills and Joe Wrublewski 226 and Mikel Petersen 223. The series went to Robert 701, Ray 633, Mikel 627, Manuel 615, Joe 607, Neil and Richard 598, Dean Harris and Rob Mitreski 5 93 and reserve Bob Cohen 589. The ladies high game went to reserve Jessica Jones 223, Kay Ginger and Melissa Webb 198, Kay again 197, Tracy Hodgson 188, Angela Francis 186, Madison McCooey 182, Louise Morgan 181 and Maria Wrublewski and Leonie Ince 174. The series went to Kay 548, Maria 517, Madison 516, Melissa 493, Angela 483, Leonie 482, Ros Dowton 472, Tracy 465, Rebeccanne Farr 457 and Dallas Archer 451.

Leaders Strathfield Tigers played 3rd place Bowlarama Alleycatz and lost 13-6 dropping down to 3rd place as Alleycatz moved into equal top spot sharing that position with Rooty Hill Rhinos who won 11-8. 4th place Wetherill Whisperers lost 13-6 to Campbelltown Alleygators and dropped to 7th as Windsor Rockets won 11-8, Western Warriors scored 12 on the bye and Rooty Hill Rumble won 13½ - 5½ to overtake them. Strathfield Sharks won 14-5 to round off the week. The high game went to Rockets setting a new high for the season with 1032, followed by Bowlarama Dolphins 963 and Gosford Grenades 961. The series went to Rockets 2686, followed by Alleycatz 2610 and Sharks 2597.

Division 3 Week 5 – AMF Rooty Hill – 4 March

The division bowled 5 pins over average at Rooty Hill with 16 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Matt Jeffress 238, Matt Smith 235 and 226, Nathan Bracey 225, reserve Josh Pinney 224, reserve Ecky Liem 223, Les Dunn 220, Nick Frost 215, Bob Quinn 213 and Dave Anderson 212. The series went to Nick 627, Matt Smith 624, Les 608, Dave 589, Josh 572, Bob and Vince Granturco 567, Matt Jeffress 564 and Bruce Worrell 555. The ladies high games went to Julie Strickland 182, Ros Kirkland 170, Ancita Levy and Janine Hendry 168, Ancita again with a pair of 167’s, Debbie van der Meer 166, Maxine Jones and Pam Russell 164 and Beryl Goggin and Julie again 163. The series went to Julie 503, Ancita 502, Marianne Keith 472, Ros 468, Janine 466, Pam 452, Debbie 448, Maxine 444, Beryl 435 and Abigail Keith-Wh eatley 434.

Leaders Lidcombe Looneys extended their lead to 15 points winning 16-3 while 2nd place Gosford Giants lost 13-6 to Strathfield Saints and dropped to equal 3rd as Campbelltown City Dragons won 13-6 and moved into 2nd spot. Rooty Hill Strikers remained in 3rd spot winning 10½ - 8½ while Bowlarama Lollipops won with 14½ points. The high game went to Wetherill Park All Stars 905, followed by Looneys 894 and Rooty Hill Pikachoos 884. The series went to Looneys 2583, followed by Dragons 2539 and All Stars 2514
