Weekly Update: 13th August 2016

Div 1 Week 26 – Tenpin City – 13 Aug

The division bowled 8 pins over average at Tenpin City with 64 200 games and 1 8 600 series. The high game went to Phil Meurant 275, followed by Peter Daly 258, Kim Morris 247, Mark Ward 246, Chris Bateup 238, George Antaky and Shane Bond 236, Chris Greaves 235, Brad Searle a pair of 233’s and Jason Raftry 232. The series went to Shane 677, George 676, Phil 653, Chris Bateup 650, Chris Greaves 641, Peter 634, Brad and Kim 629 and Reece Hines 623. The ladies high game went to Leigh Shephard 258, Amy Brown 229, Sarah Heath 225, Lisa Love and reserves Jenny Burrows and Monique Slaczka 224, Sarah again 222, Janice Edwards 220, Michelle Simmonds 212 and Kayleen Watts 210. The series went to Leigh 628, Sarah 608, Meg Abdilla 588, Amy and Janice 585, Jenny 584, Lisa 575, Michelle 572, Trudy 552 and Monique 552.

Leaders Strathfield Sandbaggers lost 13-6 to Lidcombe Rumble allowing Campbelltown Cougars to join them in the top spot even though they also lost 11½-7½ to Wetherill Park Bandits in 5th place. 3rd place Wetherill Park Guns scored 12 on the bye and 4th place Lidcombe Lightning won 16-3 but remained in 4th spot. Mittagong Reapers won with 14½ points while Campbelltown Rebels scored 14 and Windsor 9 or Better 12 points. The high game went to Rumble with 1070 and 1035, Guns 1061, Reapers 1052 and Sandbaggers with 1000 exactly. The series went to Rumble 2960, Reapers 2949 and Sandbaggers 2888.

Div 2 Week 23 – South Strathfield – 13 August

The division bowled 8 pins under average at Strathfield with 20 200 games and 4 600 series. The high game went to Ray Dillon 234, followed by Robert Vamvas and Robert Ward 227, Garry Graham 225, Stephen Johnson 223, Michael Pipe 218, Robert Vamvas again 214, Peter Prince and Jared Kirkland 211 and reserve Neil Mills 209. The series went to Robert Vamvas 633, Neil 617, Ray 608, Jared 605, Garry 572, Stephen 571, Michael and Derek Kellard 551, Peter 549 and Robert Ward 537. The ladies high game went to Margaret Rogers 214, followed by Madison McCooey 203, Reb eccanne Farr 190, Carol Stenstra 187, Kay Ginger 183, Rebeccanne again 182, Sandra Burchall 178, Madison again 173 and Kay again and Melissa Webb 172. Leaders Bowlarama Alleycatz lost 14-5 but retained the top spot with their lead cut to 9 ½ points as Windsor Wanderers in 4th place scored 14 ½ and moved up to 2nd. Previous 2nd and 3rd place Campbelltown Alleygators and Lidcombe Lyrebirds had played each other in a pre-bowl 2 weeks earlier which finished with Alleygators winning 11-8, so both teams dropped down one place. Western Warriors won 14-5, Strathfield Sharks 15-4, Tenpin City Slickers 12-7 and Tenpin City Bandits 10-9. The high game went to Sharks 951, followed by the Warriors 948 and Wanderers 923. The series went to Wanderers 2748, Sharks 2661 and Warriors 2579.

Div 3 Week 23 – Wetherill Park – 13 August

The division bowled 3 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 22 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Scott Lewis and Kyle Keith-Wheatley 242, Bob Quinn 236, Mark Ellison 225, Nathan Bracey 224, Mark Again 223, William Scheers 222, Robert Kelly 221, Tony Sutton 219 and Chris Prince 217. Leaders Bowlarama Lollipops won 14-5 but had thei r lead cut to 8 points as 2nd place Strathfield Saints won 15-4. Wetherill Park All Stars in 3rd place scored 11 on the bye while 4th place Fairfield Dragons scored 14½ points. Campbelltown Strikers scored 13 points and Windsor Wonders won 10-9. The high game went to Gosford Giants 931, followed by Saints 907 and Lollipops 887. The series went to Saints 2624, Lollipops 2621 and All Stars 2495.
