Division 1 Week 25 – Wetherill Park – 6 August
The division bowled 8 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 63 200 games and 16 600 series. The high game went to Kristain Asquith 279, Glenn Rowland 277, Reece Hines, Alan Shephard and Daniel Webb 267, reserve Steve Fairbairn 258, Adam Spicer 257, Dean Ainsworth 255, Steve again 253, Dean again 248 and 244 and Mark Ward 242. The series went to Dean 747, followed by Steve 739, Reece 705, Daniel 704, Kristain 695, reserve Cameron Phillips 660, Alan 654, reserve Paul Katar 647 and Glenn and Mark 645. The ladies high game went to Sarah Heath 234, reserve Jessica Jones 214 and 206, Janelle Crass 205, Michelle Simmonds and Jessica again 200, Evelyn O’Donnell and Sarah again 197 and Meg Abdilla and Sandra Stanshall 194. Leaders Strathfield Sandbagger s won 12-7 but had their lead cut to 1½ points as Campbelltown Cougars scored 13½ points. 3rd place Wetherill Park Guns lost 12 – 7 to 4th place Lidcombe Lightning closing the gap, but staying in those positions, while Wetherill Park Bandits scored 13 ½ on the bye and moved past Mittagong Reapers who lost 10-9 to Bowlarama Hotshots. Gosford Gremlins won 13-6 and Windsor 9 or Better 12-7. The High game went to Lightning 1088 followed by Sandbaggers 1046, Cougars 1038, Gremlins 1020 and 1012 and Hotshots 1003. The series went to Sandbaggers 2976, Cougars 2951 and Gremlins 2939.
Division 2 Week 22 – Windsor – 6 August
The division bowled 4 pins under average at Windsor with 21 200 games and 2 600 series. The high game went to Michail Wrublewski 237, equalling the score that Ray Vandine scored in the Pre-Bowl for this round. He was followed by Michael Campbell 233, Mark Foster, also from the pre-bowl, 231, David Blevins 226, Ray Dillon and Ray Vandine 226, reserve David Knott 223, Dave Anderson and Ray Vandine again 221 and John Pilcher 218. The series went to Ray Vandine who rolled 683 in the pre-bowl, followed by Ray Dillon 617, Dave 596, Michail 593, Roy Ahn 583, Garry Graham 581, David Knott 580, David Blevins 578, Mark 571, Michael 564 and Joe Wrublewski 560. Leaders Bowlarama Alleycatz extended their lead winning 16-3, while 2nd place Lidcombe Lyrebirds lost 11-8 to 4th place Windsor Wanderers. Campbelltown Alleygators won 15-4 in their pre bowl earlier last month, while Western Warriors won 14-5. Gosford Grenades won 12-7 while Strathfield Sharks won 10-9. The high game went to Alleygators in the pre-bowl 952, followed by Alleycatz 918 and Tenpin City Bandits 913. The series went to Alleycatz 2642, Alleygators 2637 and Sharks 2606.
Division 3 Week 22 – Tenpin City – 6 August
The division bowled 10 pins over average at Tenpin City with 23 200 games and 9 600 series. The high game went to Mark Ellison with 248 and 245, followed by Nathan Bracey 244, Bob Quinn 240, Brad Cook and Chris Prince 234, Nick Frost 229, Phil Spender 224 and reserve Daniel Prince with 222 & 221. The series went to Mark 686, followed by Chris 635, Nathan 629, Bob 627, Daniel 617, Matt Smith 615, Phil 608, Nick 607 and Brad 600. The ladies high game went to Ros Shepherd 222 followed by Marianne Keith with 203 and 193, Lorraine Hazelwood 181, Julie Strickland 175, Debbie van der Meer and Angela Francis 173, Debbie again 171 and Tracy Hodgson, Leanne Gray and Maxine Jones all on 167. The series went to Marianne 552 followed by Debbie 508, Tracy 496, Lorraine 491, Julie 490, Ros and Maxine 489, Angela 467, Ancita Levy 462 and Kerry Horvat 450.
Leaders Bowlarama Lollipops lost 13-6 to Gosford Giants but remained top as Strathfield Saints closed the gap to 9 points winning 12-7. 3rd place Wetherill Park All Stars won 14-5 while 4th place Fairfield Dragons lost a close game 10-9 to Liverpool Lions. Windsor Wonders won 13-6 and Lidcombe Hells Angels scored 18 on the bye to move up one place to 6th. The high game went to Saints 959, followed by Dragons 969 and Wonders 927. The series went to Saints 2675, All Stars 2637 and Dragons 2553.
