Division 1 Week 23 – Fairfield 7-10 Split – 23 July

The division bowled 8 pins under average at Fairfield with 25 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game was shared by Tony Zumbo and Shane Bond 257 each, followed by Warren Cockerill 228, Tony again 226, Peter Daly and John Dowton 225, Garry Ridgeway 223, Steve Hawes 222, Glenn Ro wland 220, Mark Steendam 215, Peter Adams 214 and Michael Marker and Warren again 213. The series went to Tony 675, Shane 654, Warren 644, Peter Daly 598, Steve 583, Glenn 581, Peter Adams 569, Kristain Asquith 560, John 559, Rodney Kitley 557 and Alan Shephard 556. Leaders Wetherill Park Guns played 3rd place Campbelltown Cougars and lost 13-6 dropping to 3rd place as 2nd place Strathfield Sandbaggers moved in to top spot winning 14-5 against 4th place Wetherill Park Bandits. 5th place Mittagong Reapers moved within ½ a point of 4th spot scoring 12 on the bye. Bowlarama Hotshots won 14-5, Lidcombe Rumble 11-8 and Lidcombe Lightning and Windsor 9 or Better both won 10-9. The high game went to Cougars 942, Sandbaggers 934 and Hotshots 926. The series went to Sandbaggers 2657, Cougars 2622 and Reapers 2617.

Division 2 Week 20 – Wetherill Park – 23 July

The division bowled 10 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 60 200 games and 18 600 series. The high game was shared by Robert Vamvas and Joseph Otera 268, followed by Les Dunn 266 and 250. Ray Dillon scored 251, Michael Campbell and Robert Ward 248, Colin Dewberry and Ewan Thomas 247, David Collins 244 and Robert Vamvas again 241. The high series for the year went to Les 751, followed by Robert Vamvas 691, Ray Vandine 657, Dave Anderson 640, Allan Taylor 639, reserve Bob Cohen 634, David Collins and David Blevins 633, Garry Graham 627 and Robert Ward 625. The ladies high game went to Maria Wrublewski 236 and 227, Sheree Kellard 217, Rebeccanne Farr 206, Rebecca Ta duran 192, Rebeccanne again 189, Melissa Webb 188, Madison McCooey 185, Rebecca again 183 and Madison again 180. Leaders Bowlarama Alleycatz extended their lead to 4½ points winning 14-5 while 2nd place Lidcombe Lyrebirds won 12-7. 3rd place Campbelltown Alleygators won 12-7 as 4th place Windsor Wanderers drew with Tenpin City Slickers. Windsor Warriors won 13-6 and Strathfield Superstrikers 12-7. The high game for the year went to Alleycatz 1074, while Warriors also beat the old mark with 1040 and Wetherill Park Rangers 1008. The series went to Warriors 2831, Wanderers 2823 and Lyrebirds 2808.

Division 3 Week 20 – Windsor – 23 July.

The division bowled ½ a pin under average at Windsor with 11 200 games with 2 600 series. The High game went to Nick Frost 242, Nathan Bracey 237, Matthew Jeffress 234, Bruce Worrell 232, Mark Ellison 210, Tony Rushbrook and Nathan again 203 and Brad Cook and Nick again 202. The series went to Nick 622, Bruce 612, Nathan 590, Matthew 589, Brad 552, Matt Burchell 544, Bob Quinn 542 and Matt W Smith 535. The ladies high game went to Lorraine Hazelwood 209, Ros Kirkland 208, Tracy Hodgson 196, Ancita Levy 192, Angela Francis and Pam Russell 188, Marianne Keith 187 and Leanne Gray, Marianne again and Angela again 182. The series went to Marianne 548, Lorraine 546, Angela 540, Ancita 526, Ros 510, Tracy 466, Pam 452, Julie Strickland 441, Janine Hendry 436 and Leanne 435.

Leaders Strathfield Saints played 3rd place Wetherill Park All Stars and lost 16-3 dropping to 3rd place as All Stars moved to 2nd spot. Bowlarama Lollipops moved into top spot winning 15-4 while 4th place Gosford Giants lost 15-4 to 5th place Fairfield Dragons and swapped places. Campbelltown Strikers scored 15 on the bye, Liverpool Lions won 13-6 while Windsor Bushrangers won 10-9. The high game went to Dragons 907, Lollipops 885 and All Stars 862. The series went to Dragons 2664, Lollipops 2460 and All Stars 2394.
