Weekly Update 14th May 2016

Div 1 Week 14 – Wetherill Park – 14 May

The division bowled 8 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 52 200 games and 16 600 series. The high game went to J osh Vanderkolk with 276, followed by Shane Bond and Paul Neich 257, Chris Arthur 255, Rodney Kitley 248, Reece Hines 243, Kim Morris 241, Mark Ward 237, Glenn Rowland 234 and Chris Greaves 232. The series went to Chris Arthur 679, followed by Shane 673, Josh 657, Chris Bateup 654, Alex Sole 642, Mark 636, Paul 632, Kim 630 and Shane 626. The ladies high game went to Michelle Simmonds 252 and 228, followed by Kayleen Watts 226, Amy Brown 216, Kayleen again and Meg Abdilla 202, Sandra Stanshall 201, Michelle again 198, Meaghan Curtis 192 and Helen Cios and Tarni-Lee Thomson 189. The series went to Michelle 678, followed by Kayleen 585, Janelle Crass 548, Helen 547, Meaghan 533, Amy 532, Sandra 530, Jodie Terry 512 and Theresa Boyle 499.

Leaders Wetherill Park Guns won 14½ - 4½ to maintain their lead on win percentage as Strathfield Sandbaggers had to defer their match but retained 2nd place also on win percentage. Campbelltown Cougars retained 3rd place despite losing 12-7 to Mittagong Reapers who moved closer in 5th spot. Wetherill Park Bandits retained 4th despite losing 12-7 to Lidcombe Lightning who dropped one spot to 7th as Windsor 9 or Better got 16 on the bye and moved up to 6th. Fairfield Bruises score 13½ and Lidcombe Rumble 12 to close out the week which was the first game in round 2. The high game went to Bruises 1105, followed by Reapers 1079, Lightning 1014 and 9 or Better 1007. The series went to Bruises 3046, followed by Guns 2867 and Lightning 2854.

Div 2 Week 12 – Strathfield Superbowl – 14 May

The division bowled 8 pins under average at Strathfield with 12 200 games and 1 600 series. The high game went to Ewan Thomas 243, Harry Collins 237, Robert Vamvas 229, Ray Vandine 213, Jared Kirkland 211, Joe Wrublewski and Nicholas Liem 209, David Collins 204, Ray again 202, Ewan again 201 and Mark Foster and Dave Stenstra 200. The series went to Ewan 610, followed by Jared 589, Michail Wrublewski 576, Harry Collins and Peter Prince 575, Dave 56r, Mark 564, Robert 561, Ray 556 and Allan Bereyne and Garry Graham 555. The ladies high game went to Margaret Rogers 187, Rebeccanne Farr 181, Sandra Burchall 180, Madison McCooey 180, 179 and 170, Merle Turner 169, Rachel Kim 168 and Maria Wrublewski 166. The series went to Madison 529, Sandra 490, Rebeccanne 483, Maria 469, Merle 448, reserve Dallas Archer 443, Margaret 442 and Kay Ginger 435.

As it was the positional round, each team played the team immediately above or below them. Leaders Lidcombe Lyrebirds had the lead cut to 5 points as Bowlarama Alleycatz beat them 12½ - 6½. 3rd place Campbelltown Alleygators also held onto their place despite losing 10½ - 8½ to Windsor Wanderers. Strathfield Sharks in 5th spot won 11½ - 7½ while Strathfield Superstrikers jumped up 2 places to 6th spot with 12½ points. Windsor Rockets scored 11 ½ and the only match to finish without a ½ point went to Western Warriors with 13 points. The high game went to Alleycatz 931, followed by Lyrebirds 930 and Warriors 896. The series went to Alleycatz 2632, Lyrebirds 2573 and Warriors 2519.

Div 3 Week 12 – Tenpin City – 14 May

The division bowled 2 pins over average at Tenpin City with 19 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Bob Quinn 247, followed by Robert Kelly and Paul Woodberry 235, Nick Frost 234, Kyle Keith-Wheatley 223 and 221, Matt Smith 217, Chris Prince 212 and Brad Cook and Bruce Worrell 209. The series went to Bob 650, Kyle 621, Brad 601, Robert 595, Nick 591, Paul 563, Bruce and William Scheers 551 and Nathan Bracey 540. The ladies high game went to Angela Francis 219, Lorraine Hazelwood 211, Beryl Goggin 199, Maxine Jones 192, Marianne Keith 186, Ros Shepherd 180, Marianne again with a pair of 178’s and Lorraine Hazelwood 177 and 171. The series went to Lorraine 559, Marianne 542, Ros 489, Angela 476, Maxine 459, Julie Strickland and Kerry Horvat 450, Tracy Hodgson 446, Beryl 434 and reserve Louise Kelly 409.

Div 3 also played a positional round and leaders Strathfield Saints increased their lead to points beating Gosford Giants 13-6 and pushing them down to equal 4th. Bowlarama Lollipops jumped from 5th to 2nd scoring 14 points as 3rd place Fairfield Dragons beat 4th place Wetherill Park All Stars 11-8 and remained in the same spots. Liverpool Lions scored 15 to move up to 7th spot while Windsor Wonders scored 11 and Lidcombe Hot to Trot Tigers scored 15 on the bye. The high game went to Saints 894, followed by Dragons 879 and All Stars 876. The series went to Saints 2607, Dragons 2587 and All Stars 2529.
