Div 1 Week 12 – Strathfield Superbowl – 30 April
The division bowled 10 pins under aver age at Strathfield with 25 200 games and 1 600 series. The high game went to Mark Ward 233, Reece Hines 224, Brad Searle 223, reserve Bob Cohen 222, Brad again 217, Bob again 214, Glenn Rowland, Ken Armstrong and Tristan Frew 213 and Chris Hampshire 212. The series went to Mark with 630, Brad 589, Bob 577, Glenn 563, Darryl Burton and Tristan 559, Reece 558 and Chris Greaves and Chris Hampshire 555. The ladies high game went to Tarni-Lee Thomson 224, Janelle Crass 213, Sarah Heath 210, Trudy Gould 205, Annette Bateup 203, Sarah again 199, Meaghan Curtis 193 and 191, Annette again 191 and Michelle Simmonds 190. Leaders Wetherill Park Guns retained their lead by 1 point despite not bowling yet as the game between them and Lidcombe Lightning has been deferred to 21 May. Guns do have the same number of games however as they have already played next week’s game at Mittagong. 2nd place Wetherill Park Bandits scored 5 on the bye and dropped to equal 3rd while 4th place Campbelltown Cougars won 15-4 and jumped into 2nd place as Strathfield Sandbaggers remained in 3rd place losing 12-7 to Wetherill Park Phoenix. Windsor 9 or Better scored 12 points while Campbelltown Rebels scored 11 and Mittagong Reapers 10. The high game went to Phoenix 969, followed by Cougars 698 and Reapers 947. The series went to Cougars 2741, 9 or Better 2632 and Phoenix 2608.
Div 2 Week 10 – Tenpin City – 30 April
The division bowled 8 pins over average at Tenpin City with 38 200 games and 11 600 series. The high game went to Manny Bugay with 258 followed by Ray Vandine 256, Harry Collins, Nicholas Liem and Manny again 247, Rob Mitreski 243, Dave Stenstra 234, Rob again and Ray again 233, John Pilcher 232, David Collins 231 and Les Dunn 230. The series went to Manny with a new high for the season of 720, but unfortunately as Manny is a Team Reserve he will not qualify with 2/3rds games played. Ray bowled 701, Rob 680, Nicholas 669, Les 642, Dave 630, Allan Taylor 622, Murray Walker 611, Harry 606, Robert Ward 605 and Ewan Thomas 603. The ladies high game went to Merle Turner 196, followed by Rebecca Taduran 189, Melissa Webb 186 and 184, Rebecca again 181, Kay Ginger and Melissa again 180, Madison McCooey and Kay again 179, Rebecca again 178, Kay again 176, Louise Morgan 173 and Maria Wrublewski 172. Leaders Lidcombe Lyrebirds extended their lead to 7½ points winning 14-5 against 2nd place Windsor Wanderers as equal 2nd place Campbelltown Alleygators moved into outright 2nd winning 13-6 and 4th place place Bowlarama Alleycatz won 15-4 and moved into 3rd spot. Windsor Rockets won 13-6, Wetherill Park Rangers 12-7 and Strathfield Sharks 11-8. The high game for the season went to Rockets 1014, followed by Lyrebirds 966 and Alleycatz 952. The series went to Rockets 2830, Lyrebirds 2766 and Alleycatz 2736.
Div 3 Week 10 – Tenpin City – 30 April
The division bowled 3½ pins over average at Tenpin City with 18 200 games and 2 600 series. The high game went to Brad Cook with 258 and two 255’s with Bob Quinn scoring a 256 in the middle. That now has three players on 258 as the highest game for the year. They were followed by Bob again with 239, Matthew Jeffress 232, Robert Kelly 224, Nathan Bracey 222, Nick Frost 214, Mark Ellison 212, Bruce Worrell and Kyle Keith-Wheatley 211 and Mark Goggin 210. The series and new high record for Division 3 went to Brad with 768, followed by Bob 699, Bruce 577, Nick 573, Matthew 571, Nathan 560, Mark Ellison 556, Robert 555, Matt Smith 554 and Paul Woodberry 552. The ladies high game went to Jane Austin 201, reserve Abigail Keith-Wheatley 180, Janine Hendry 177, Ancita Levy 176, Debbie van der M eer 174, Ancita again 173 and Tracy Hodgson, Ros Shepherd, Lorraine Hazelwood and Angela Francis all on 168. The series went to Ancita 503, Debbie 496, Julie Strickland 495, Lorraine 472, Ros and Marianne Keith 468, Ros Kirkland 467, Tracy 448, Janine 445 and Jane 441.
Leaders Bowlarama Lollipops played 4th place Gosford Giants and dropped to 4th themselves as Giants rose to 2nd spot. Former 2nd place Strathfield Saints won 14-5 and moved into top spot by 3 points. Fairfield Dragons remained in 3rd spot despite winning 13-6 and Wetherill Park All Stars remained in 5th spot despite winning 15-4. Lidcombe Hells Angels scored 16 on the bye and Windsor Wonders won 14-5 in a series of big wins. The high game went to All Stars 941, followed by Saints 916 and Giants 890. The series, a new high for the year, went to Saints with 2721, followed by All Stars 2630 and Dragons 2537.
