Weekly Update: 19th September 2015

Div 1 Week 28 – Tenpin City – 19 Sep

The division bowled 7½ pins over average with 51 200 games and 14 600 series. The high game went to Steve Hawes 269, followed by Kim Morris 263, Rodney Kitley 258, Shane Bond 257, Rodney again 248, Chris Hampshire 247, Alex Sole 246, Chris again 238, Shane Brown and Shane Bond 237 and Greg Farraway and David Chi 236. The series went to Rodney 692, Shane Bond 690, Alex 681, Chris 673, Kim 646, Shane Brown 640, reserve Cameron Phillips 629, Simon Millman 627 and Steve 618. The ladies high game went to Sarah Heath 266, followed by Michelle Simmonds 246, Annette Bateup 237, reserve Emily Johnston 225, reserve Kathy Luxford 224, Trudy Gould 215, Amy Brown 211, Monique Rusin and Trudy again 206, Sarah again 204 and Sandra Stanshall 201. The series went to Sarah 629, Trudy 599, Emily 591, Kathy 580, Michelle 563, Amy 561 and Monique 557.

Leaders Wetherill Park Bandits played 4th place Lidcombe Lightning and lost 12½ - 6½ but retained the top spot on win percentage as Tenpin City Tomahawks won 10-9 to be 3 points in front but one game behind. Campbelltown Cougars in 3rd place lost 14-5 to Fairfield Fireballs while Bateau Bay Reaper Crew retained 5th spot also on win percentage winning 11-8. Wetherill Park Phoenix scored 10½ points while Mittagong Warriors scored 15 on the bye. The high game went to Fireballs 1100, with Tomahawks 1053 and Lightning 994. The series went to Fireballs 2972, Tomahawks 2940 and Reaper Crew 2877.

Div 2 Week 31 – Gosford – 19 Sep

The division bowled 4 pins under average at Gosford with 28 200 games and 8 600 series. The high game went to Steve Fairbairn 268, John Raftry 265, Jason Raftry 245, Chris Greaves 243, Wolf Miller 236, Chris Greaves again and Chris Bedwell 235, Tony Zumbo 234, George Antaky 233, Murray Walker and Ewan Thomas 232 and Ray Dillon 231. The series went to Ray 661, Chris Greaves 652, Ewan 633, Tony 632, Murray 627, John 606, Steve and Chris Bedwell 602 and Jason 598. The ladies high game went to reserve Chris Pulbrook 214, Melissa Webb and Kay Ginger 191, Madison McCooey 187, Margaret Rogers 182, Kay again 179, Melissa again 177 & 176 and Madison again 175. The series went to Melissa 544, Margaret 519, Kay 514, Madison 511, Christine 507, Rebeccanne Farr 473, Evelyn O’Donnell 458 and Nicky Foster 449.

Leaders Bowlarama Alley Catz lost 14-5 to Wetherill Park Piranhas while 2nd place Bowlarama Hotshots scored 10½ points to close the gap to 11½ points. 3rd place Campbelltown City Alleygators lost 11-8 to 6th place Strathfield Superchargers dropping down to 4th place as Superchargers rose to 5th. Campbelltown City Stingers moved into 3rd place winning 14-5, Strathfield Tigers scored 13, Windsor Wizards 11 and Tenpin Terriers 10 to close out the round. The high game went to Stingers 1017 & 948, Hotshots 941 and Superchargers 928. The series went to Stingers 2822, Superchargers 2693 and Hotshots 2664.

Div 3 Week 31 – Wetherill Park – 19 Sep

The division bowled 7 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 32 200 games and 10 600 series. The high game for the year to date went to Matthew Jeffress 269, beating the current mark by 2 pins, and also bowled 257. He was followed Nick Frost 245, Nicholas Liem 244, reserve Matthew W Smith 237 and 233 with Ricky Andrews 236 in between. The series went to Matthew Jeffress 709, followed by Nick 700, Matthew Smith 678, Ricky 663, reserve Robert Vamvas 618, David Latham 610, Daniel Prince 607, Nicholas 605 and Chris Prince 603. The ladies high game was shared by Ros Kirkland and Maxine Jones with 222 followed by Marianne Keith 213, Angela Francis 206, Marianne again 205, Maxine again 194, Sandra Ashton 192 and Ros again 191. The series went to Marianne 605, setting a new high for the year, followed by Ros 587, Maxine 565, Angela 554, Janine Hendry 468, reserve Tracy Hodgson 463, Sandra 459, Kerry Horvat 457 and Lorraine Hazelwood 453.
Leaders Campbelltown City Chiefs won 13-6 as Wetherill Park All Stars closed the gap to 16 scoring 17 points this week. Strathfield Saints won 15-4 as did Wetherill Park Rangers while Lidcombe Grimreapers scored 14 and Strathfield Dragons 17½ as the top six teams all won. Bateau Bay Buddhas closed out the high scoring round with 12 points moving up from 9th to 8th spot. The high game went to Chiefs with 1006, setting a new high for the year, All Stars 996 and Dragons 950. The series went to All Stars also with a record high for the division of 2903, Chiefs 2883 and Dragons 2756.
