Division 1 Week 23 – Wetherill Park – 15 Aug

The division bowled 8 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 54 200 games and 21 600 series. The high game went to Chris Gervacio 275, Kim Morris and Paul Katar 268, Alex Sole, Mark Steendam and Reece Hines 258, Shane Bond 255, Phil Meurant 247 and Shane Brown and Daniel Webb 246. The series went to Shane Bond with 698, followed by Alex 658, Phil 657, Shane Brown 653, Chris 647, Kim 638, Chris Bateup 635 and Mark 629. The ladies high game went to Sarah Heath 245, followed by Kayleen Watts 244, Mon ique Rusin 232 and 222, Janelle Crass also 222 and 214, reserve Renee Pepper 214, Kayleen again 205 and Amy Brown 199. The series went to Kayleen 636Monique 627, Sarah 620, Janelle 615, Renee 558, Amy 543 and Jodie Terry 538.

Leaders Tenpin City Tomahawks lost 11-8 to 3rd place Lidcombe Lightning while 2nd place Wetherill Park Bandits scored 16½ to cut the lead to 4 points. 4th place Campbelltown Cougars played 5th place Bateau Bay Reaper Crew and won 12½ to 6½ while Fairfield Fireballs scored 14 to close the gap to 5th spot to 3½ points. The biggest win went to Wetherill Park Phoenix with 16 on the bye. The high game went to Bandits 1071 and 1037, Cougars 1042, Reaper Crew 1027, Lightning 1018 and 1008 and Mittagong Warriors 1004. The series went to Bandits 3075, Lightning 2967 and Cougars 2937.

Division 2 Week 26 – Tenpin City – 15 Aug

The division bowled 5 pins over average at Tenpin City with 42 200 games and 11 600 series. The high game went to Rob Mitreski 276, Chris Greaves 257 and 256, Rob again 245, Michael Campbell 244, John Raftry and Ray Dillon 235, Les Dunn 234, reserve Joe Wrublewski 233 and Leon Keith 230. The series went to Rob with 735, a new high for the year, but Rob will not be able to bowl enough games to claim the award at the end of the year. He was followed by Chris 713, Ray 641, Leon 640, Joe 631, reserve Jason Lindsay 626, David Blevins and reserve Bob Cohen 614, George Antaky 608, Michael 604 and Jared Kirkland 600. The ladies high game went to Lisa Love 200, followed by Madison McCooey 199 on her return after maternity leave, Sandra Burchall also on 199, Louise Morgan 197, Evelyn O’Donnell 191, Madison and Sandra again 187, Lisa again 185, Kay Ginger 183 and Evelyn again 182. The series went to Lisa 558, Evelyn 552, Madison 545, Sandra 543, Annette Simmonds 519, Kay 479, Louise 477, Margaret Rogers 469 and Merle Turner 466.

Leaders Bowlarama Alley Catz scored 15½ points and extended their lead to 21½ points as 2nd place Western Warriors lost 13-6 to 5th place Campbelltown City Stingers dropping to 5th as the Stingers moved up to 3rd. Bowlarama Hotshots moved into 2nd spot winning 12-7 while 4th place Campbelltown City Alley Gators dropped to 5th on win percentage although they did not play as their match was deferred. Strathfield Tigers won 14-5, Gosford Grenades 13-6 and Strathfield Superchargers 12-7. The high game went to Superchargers 1016, Tigers 1010 and Grenades 980. The series went to Grenades 2920, Stingers 2898 and Superchargers 2796.

Division 3 Week 26 – Windsor – 15 Aug

The division bowled average at Windsor with 13 200 games. The high game went to David Latham 252, Mark Ellison 215, Possum O’Brien 211, William Scheers and Josh Pinney 208, Phil Spender and Calvin Thompson 206 and Brady Pirie and Daniel Prince 205. The series went to David 594, Mark 586, Phil 573, Brady 572, Rick Andrews 569, Paul Woodberry 562, Matt Burchell 555 and Calvin 552. The ladies high gam e went to Jane Austin 210, Lorraine Hazelwood 201, Marianne Keith 193, Roslyn Kirkland 190, Marianne again 189, Lorraine again 188, Janine Hendry 187 and 186 and Sandra Ashton 181. The series went to Marianne 548, Lorraine 528, Janine and Roslyn 513, Jane 499, Angela Francis 480, reserve Tracy Hodgson 471, Debbie Liddell 468 and Sandra 465.

Leaders Campbelltown City Chiefs won 15-4 to extend their lead to 22½ points as Wetherill Park All Stars won 13-6. 3rd place Strathfield Saints also won 13-6 while 4th place Wetherill Park Rangers lost 13-6 to Liverpool Lions. Other big winners were Bowlarama Mixed Bag 17 points and Strathfield Dragons 16 points. The high game went to Chiefs 900, Lions 882 and Rangers 876. The series went to Lions 2554, Chiefs 2532 and Dragons 2456.
