Division 1 Week 7 – Highlands Bowl – 21 March

Bowl Sydney visited Mittagong for the first time in our history and received a very warm welcome. The division bowled 5 pins under average with 38 200 games and 8 600 series. The high game went to Alex Sole 269, Shane Bond 259, Simon Millman 247, Chris Arthur 237, reserve Bob Cohen 236 and Paul Katar 235. The series went to Paul 659, followed by Shane 657, Andrew Parker 647, Simon 640, Kristain Asquith 637, Bob 622 and Alex 602. The ladies high game went to Kayleen Watts 253, followed by Sarah with 223, 217 and 212, Monique Rusin 203, Janelle Crass 188, Monique again 187 and 183, Michelle Simmonds and Trudy Gould 181 and Sandra Stanshall 180. The series went to Sarah 652, followed by Kayleen 585, Monique 573, Janelle 524 and Michelle 513.

Leaders Wetherill Park Bandits won 13- but had their lead cut to 10 points as Tenpin City Tomahawks scored 15. 3rd place Campbelltown Cougars won a close game with Lidcombe Lightning 10-9 while 4th place Bateau Bay Reaper Crew dropped to 5th spot scoring 9½ on the by e. Windsor Pirates jumped from 6th to 4th with a 13-6 win. The high game went to Bandits 1040 and 1011 with Reaper Crew 1020 and Tomahawks 1012. The series went to Bandits 2954, Tomahawks 2800 and Reaper Crew 2735.

Division 2 Week 8 – South Strathfield – 21 March

The division bowled average at South Strathfield with 32 200 games and 4 600 series. The high game went to Rob Mitreski 264, with Graeme Brown 256, Craig Brandon 248, Neil Maloney 242 and 237, Rob again 234, Matthew P Smith and Robert Ward 232 and Ray Vandine 230. The series went to Neil 690, followed by Rob Mitreski 676, Chris Greave 632, Robert Ward 613, Chris Bedwell 598, Ray 593, Matthew 585, Brad Bruen 584 and Craig 581. The ladies high game went to Melissa Webb 202, Evelyn O’Donnell 193, Sandra Burchall 180, Maria Wrublewski 178, Alison Bird 176 and Kay Ginger 174. The series went to Evelyn 532, Sandra 519, Maria 515, Melissa 503, Kay 489 and Marilyn Wentworth-Perry 478.

Leaders Western Warriors extended their lead to 7½ points with an 11-8 win while 2nd place Tenpin Terriers lost 12-7 to Bowlarama Alley Catz and dropped to 5th as Alley Catz moved up to 4th. Campbelltown City Stingers won 12-7 to move into 2nd spot, Lidcombe Looneys moved up from 4th to 3rd despite not playing as their match was deferred and last year’s champions Bowlarama Hotshots scored the biggest win with 12½ points in a round of close results. The high game went to Campbelltown AlleyGators 974, with Hotshots 944 and Warriors 941. The series went to Warriors 2723, Hotshots 2627 and AlleyGators 2617.

Division 3 Week 8 – Wetherill Park – 21 March

The division bowled 3 pins over average at Wetherill Park with 18 200 games and 3 600 series. The high game went to Robert Ciacciarelli 259, followed by Brady Pirie 245, Daniel Prince 244, Robert aga in 243, reserve Mike Alagich 225, Ricky Andrews 223, Mark Ellison 222, reserve Matthew W Smith 220 and Richard Malcolm 214. The series went to Robert 681, Daniel 613, Brady 602, Mike 591, Matthew 582, Joshua Pinney 578 and Paul Woodberry 572. The ladies high game went to reserve Ancita Levy 191, Ros Kirkland 182, Sandra Ashton 180, Jenny Williams 179, Debbie van der Meer 176, Leanne Gray 175 and Angela Francis 173. The series went to Leanne 506, Ancita 501, Sandra 472, Maxine Jones 468, Laurelle Richardson 462, Debbie 460 and Angela and Ros 459.

Leaders Strathfield Saints won 14-5 but had their lead cut to 12½ as Campbelltown City Chiefs won 17-2 to move from 4th to 2nd. 2nd place Wetherill Park Rangers won 12-7 but dropped to equal 3rd with Wetherill Park All Stars who won 13-6. Lidcombe Grimreapers moved up 1 place to 5th spot winning 1-3 against previous 5th place Strathfield Dragons. The high game for the year went to Chiefs with 1002 followed by Grimreapers 933 and Bateau Bay Buddhas 894. The high series for the year also went to Chiefs with 2758, followed by Grimreapers 2740 and Rangers 2492.
