Div 1 Week 5 – Tenpin City – 7 March
The division bowled 10 pins over average at Tenpin City with 57 200 games and 18 600 series. The high game was shared by Andrew parker and Simon Millman with 258 each, followed by Phil Meurant and Chris Arthur on 25, Michael Marker 24, Alex Sole 245, Rodney Kitley 242 and Chris Gervacio 239. The series went to Simon with 707 followed by Phil 690, Andrew 677, Paul Neich 670, Chris Arthur 665, Chris Hampshire 653 and Alex 650. The ladies high game went to Amy Brown 245, followed by Sarah Heath with 224, 222 and 216, then Jodie Terry 212, Leigh Shephard 202, Monique Rusin 199, Kayleen Watts and Janelle Crass on 196 and Meg Abdilla 195. The series went to Sarah with 662, followed by Amy 611, Monique 584, Leigh 570, Trudy Gould 564 and Jodie Terry 553.
Leaders Wetherill Park Bandits played 2nd place Campbelltown Cougars and won 11½ - 7½ but Tenpin City Tomahawks in 3rd spot scored a huge 16-3 win to jump into 2nd spot and cut the leaders margin to 5 points. 4th place Wetherill Park Phoenix lost 13-6 to Fairfield Fireballs but hung on to 4th place as 5th place Bateau Bay Reaper Crew lost 12-7 to bottom team Gosford Rev Heads and Lidcombe Lightning scored 15 to jump up to 5th ½ a point behind Phoenix. The other big winner was Windsor Pirates with 15 on the bye. The high game went to Tomahawks with 1096 and 1070, followed by Lightning 1017 and 1006 and Cougars 1009. The series went to Tomahawks with a new high for the year of 3158, followed by Bandits 2939 and Fireballs 2911.
Div 2 Week 6 – Wetherill Park – 7 March
The division bowled 7 puns over average at Wetherill Park with 44 200 games and 14 600 series. The high game went to Matthew P Smith 267, Garry Graham 263 and Derek Kellard 261 all three beating the previous high mark. They were followed by Chris Droscher 254, Robert Ward 245, Garry again 236, Ray Dillon 233 and Brad Bruen 230. The series went to Garry 677 just ahead of Matt 674 and followed by Chris 639, Michail Wrublewski 621, Craig Brandon and Ray Vandine 618, Michael Pipe 617, Derek 614, Robert 613 and Brad 611. The ladies high game went to Margaret Rogers w ith 195, followed by Kay Ginger 192, Maria Wrublewski and Kay again 191, Sharon Murphy 189 and Melissa Webb 186. The series went to Kay 566, followed by Maria 528, Evelyn O’Donnell 521, Melissa 501, Sharon 477, Margaret 476 and Nick Foster 465.
Leaders Lidcombe Looneys lost 11-8 to Strathfield Tigers dropping down to 2nd spot as Western Warriors won 13-6 to lead by 3½. 3rd place Tenpin Terriers moved within 1 point of 2nd spot with 11-8 win while 4th place Tenpin City Bandits went down 11½ - 6½ to Bowlarama Alley Catz, dropping down to 5th as Alley Catz moved up 4 places into 4th. The high game went to Terriers 986, followed by Strathfield Superchargers 978 and Wetherill Park Piranhas 958. The series went to Warriors 2813 setting a new high for the year, followed by Campbelltown City AlleyGators 2763 and Terriers 2759.
Div 3 Week 6 – Windsor – 7 March
The division bowled 3 pins over average at Windsor with 19 200 games and 2 600 series. The high game went to Daniel Prince 233, Glenn Luxford 227, Matthew Jeffress and Bradie Pirie 218, William Macrohon 216, Matt Burchell 214, Nick Frost 213, Bob Quinn 212 and Matt Jeffress again 211. The series went to Matt Jeffress 634, Bob 615, Ricky Andrews 595, Daniel 579, Nick 576, William 564, Vince Granturco 559, Tony Rushbrook 555 and Bradie 553. The ladies high game went to Laurelle Richardson 190, Sandra Ashton 180, Ros Kirkland 179, Ros Shepherd and Debbie van der Meer 176 and Natasha Bracey 170. The series went to Debbie and Sandra 493, Ros Shepherd 486, Angela Francis 485, Lorraine Hazelwood 480 and Ros Kirkland 470.
Leaders Strathfield Saints won 11½ - 7½ against 5th place Lidcombe Grimreapers but had their lead cut by 2 points as Wetherill Park All Stars scored 13½. Wetherill Park Rangers moved closer with 15 as 4th place Campbelltown Chiefs al so scored 15 and stayed 2 pins behind 3rd. The other big winner was Bowlarama Mixed Bag 13-6 and the high game went to Rangers 951, Chiefs 899 and Windsor Wags 886. The series went to All Stars 2620, Strathfield Dragons 2547 and Windsor Wags 2517.
